Hello!
I am a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at Stanford University, where I study religion and politics in the United States, with a focus on Christian nationalism. My dissertation explores how elite religious rhetoric shapes public opinion and political behavior. More broadly, I am interested in how religious identity and belief intersect with partisanship, ideology, and participation in American democracy.
Methodologically, my work blends text analysis, survey experiments, and causal inference to study political communication and voter attitudes. My work has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as Politics and Religion, and has been supported by numerous grants, including the Stanford Center for American Democracy and the Stanford Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society.
Before beginning my Ph.D., I worked as a research analyst at Ipsos, designing and analyzing survey experiments. I received my B.A. in Political Science from Brigham Young University.
Outside of academia, I enjoy hiking, reading Brandon Sanderson books, exploring new playgrounds with my daughter, and working on my farm in Stardew Valley.
